The build process
Steps 1-9: An Approximate 6-12 Week Pool Build Process (typical projects)
Upon signing the contract, you will receive a personalized schedule and a detailed plan outlining the step-by-step process of your pool build. This summary serves as a comprehensive guide to the fundamental stages involved in constructing your pool.
1. Design & Planning
We meet with you to understand your vision, lifestyle, and budget. Our team evaluates your property and creates a custom pool design that maximizes space, functionality, and aesthetics while blending seamlessly with your home and outdoor living area.
2. Engineering & Permitting
Detailed construction plans are engineered and submitted for approval. We handle all permitting requirements to ensure your pool meets local codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards before construction begins.
3. Layout & Excavation
The pool design is carefully laid out on your property using stakes and markings. Excavation follows, shaping the pool to exact specifications and preparing the site for structural work.
4. Steel Reinforcement
A steel rebar framework is installed throughout the pool structure. This reinforcement provides strength and stability, ensuring the pool shell can withstand ground movement and long-term use.
5. Plumbing & Electrical
All plumbing lines, drains, returns, and electrical components are installed. This includes systems for filtration, circulation, lighting, and any added features like spas or water elements.
6. Shotcrete/Gunite Shell
Shotcrete or gunite is applied to form the pool shell. This process creates a solid, durable structure that serves as the foundation of your pool.
7. Tile, Coping & Features
Waterline tile, coping, and any custom features such as spas, sun shelves, or waterfalls are installed. These elements enhance both the appearance and functionality of your pool.
8. Decking Installation
The surrounding deck is constructed using materials like pavers, travertine, or concrete. This area is designed for durability, safety, and visual appeal, completing your outdoor living space.
9. Interior Finish
The pool interior is finished with plaster, quartz, or pebble. This final layer provides a smooth, watertight surface and defines the pool’s color and texture.
10. Fill & Startup
The pool is filled with water, and all equipment is started. We balance the water chemistry and ensure all systems are functioning properly.
11. Final Inspection & Handover
Final inspections are completed to ensure everything meets code and quality standards. We walk you through pool operation, maintenance, and care so you can confidently enjoy your new pool.
