the build process
Steps 1-9: An Approximate 6-12 Week Pool Build Process (typical projects)
Upon signing the contract, you will receive a personalized schedule and a detailed plan outlining the step-by-step process of your pool build. This summary serves as a comprehensive guide to the fundamental stages involved in constructing your pool.
step 1
LAY OUT AND DESIGN
Our talented team of designers and engineers will create a unique custom pool design. Our skilled team will initiate the process by meticulously outlining the design on the ground in your yard, precisely marking the location of the pool. We want to ensure your complete satisfaction with the layout before providing the excavation crew with the go-ahead for the dig. This crucial step in the process may take around a week or two, depending on the number of revisions needed to finalize the layout.

We can create a Colored 3-D scaled design upon request for $250, which is subtracted from your Pool cost if you hire the team.
step 2
THE DIG
The excavation phase is an exhilarating time for both children and adults. The sight of heavy machinery shaping your backyard into a new swimming pool is truly captivating. While our skilled craftspeople make the process seem effortless, it actually demands extensive experience and hard work to master. In the second week, this phase typically spans two days, followed by a one-week period for obtaining the necessary permits.
STEP 3
STEEL INSTALLATION
During Week 3 of the installation process, our expert builders focus on the meticulous steel installation, a task that typically spans two days. This phase offers families the opportunity to unwind and observe our skilled team employing various techniques to bend and shape the steel into the perfect form for their new swimming pool.
step 3
PLUMBING & ELECTRICAL
Plumbing plays a crucial role in the installation of a swimming pool, as it is responsible for maintaining the circulation system. The complexity of the plumbing job is often determined by the features chosen for the pool. A professional plumber is typically hired to install the circulation system, main drain, and skimmer, as well as any additional requested features such as therapy jets, deck jets, and sheer descent. This process also includes installing the necessary filtration systems. It usually takes about a week to complete the plumbing work, which includes obtaining the required permits for electrical and plumbing.
STEP 5
SHOTCRETE
The next three days of the pool-building process, is the pressurized concrete that is placed and sculpted according to your individual design. Our craftsman are skill in handling the heavy equipment that it takes to gather the concrete and then shape your pool, spa, and even the steps to your pool. The three-day process does include the time that is needed to allow the drying of the concrete.
STEP 6
TILE & DECKING
The tile setter is a skilled artisan responsible for enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the pool area. Upon your request, tiles are expertly placed to adorn the perimeter. The tile and decking phase typically require close to a week (seven days) for completion, although the timeline may vary based on the specific design and square footage.
STEP 7
INTERIOR FINISH
Our skilled craftsmen possess the expertise and physical prowess to expertly guide the flow of pressurized concrete. Employing trowels, they deftly manipulate the surface to achieve the desired design aesthetic. The interior finish, a specialized concrete coating, is meticulously applied to the pool's floor and walls. Following the plastering process, the pool is promptly filled with water. The interior finish is then left to set for approximately three days.
STEP 9
FINAL COATING DECK
Our skilled craftsmen possess the expertise and physical prowess to expertly guide the flow of pressurized concrete. Employing trowels, they deftly manipulate the surface to achieve the desired design aesthetic. The interior finish, a specialized concrete coating, is meticulously applied to the pool's floor and walls. Following the plastering process, the pool is promptly filled with water. The interior finish is then left to set for approximately three days.
STEP 8
POOL START-UP
During the initial phase of setting up the swimming pool, the pool is nearly finished and ready for use. The start-up technician plays a crucial role in testing the pool's functionality. This involves activating the circulating pump, setting the timer, and installing any necessary eye-ball fittings in the return and jets, depending on the pool's design. Additionally, the technician is responsible for meticulously cleaning the pool and the surrounding tile deck. Once the cleaning process is complete, the technician proceeds to balance the water and initiate the chlorine start-up. This involves initially adding acid only for the first few days, followed by a gradual addition of chlorine over the course of a few days to ensure the correct amount is used. The entire process typically spans about a week, with a few extra days required to achieve the desired crystal-clear water.
